D'Glenn Needs A Home

I'll be needing a new place to live as soon as possible, as my landlord is giving the house I'm in now back to the bank and the bank is going to give it to HUD. I'm looking to share a place with other people. And I plan to stay in Maryland, in South Baltimore or (even better) the DC metropolitan area. This page contains some of my thoughts on the matter, in case you're considering whether you could share a house with me.

Consider this a living document -- as I think of things I should mention, I'll add them.

Things I need want in a house

Things I want in a house (but can survive for a time without if I really have to)

The kinds of housemates I'm hoping for

while I'd prefer to live with people who have a lot in common with me, i.e. elboids, Marklanders, SCAdians, and fen, what really matters is that we don't freak each other out or annoy each other. If you're not already one of my friends, you might want to poke around other pages on my web site to learn more about me.

I've finally had a chance to get used to housemates who can keep the kitchen clean. I'd like to make this a trend. :-)

Oh, a lack of tobacco smoke in the house is a good thing.

Living with me

I'm not entirely sure what to write here, but I'll add to this as I think of things to mention. (Same with the previous heading, actually.)

I'm home a lot, especially during the day. Out a couple evenings a week for rehearsals. Occasionally off to Baltimore for a weekend. I tend to be mostly quiet -- if I blast the stereo it's when nobody else is home. I do practice my music, though not as often as I should. I am definitely a night owl.

I'm somewhat lackadaisical about clutter, except in the kitchen.

I'm a vegetarian, but don't worry about that too much -- I've always lived with carnivores/omnivores. Just don't contaminate the condiments if we share food.

Religion

I'm Christian but get along just fine with pretty much everyone else -- I'm at least as comfortable among Pagans as I am among members of my own faith. Living with strictly observant Jews might pose a problem regarding Sabbath restrictions on electricity and music, but otherwise religion shouldn't be much of an issue.
