Thrir Venstri Foetr is a dance group and
band organized to recreate and explore medieval music and
renaissance music and dance, concentrating primarily on English
country dance. In the past, we have often performed at the
Maryland Renaissance Festival
in the Autumn (though we will not be performing there in 2001),
and Washington's May Revels in the
Spring, as well as other performances as they come up.
We perform for festivals and fairs, weddings, and "living
history" demonstrations at schools.
The name Thrir Venstri Foetr is Old Norse for "Three Left
Feet", and the group is known by the English version of its
name as well as by the Norse.
The band also performs separately from the dancers, under
the name Playford Spice.
There is
another web page
for the group, maintained by one of the dancers.
